“Anticoagulants are one of the classes of medicines most frequently identified as causing preventable harms and admissions to hospitals” - National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA)

Training for INRstar Anticoagulation Software

Effective training and familiarity with the clinical decision support software is an essential element of safe practice. National Patient Safety Agency (NPSA) guidelines are very specific about the need to establish and maintain appropriate competencies for all staff engaged in anticoagulation management.

INRstar comes with an easy to use on-line training system that gives users the confidence to start using INRstar at whatever access level is appropriate to their role. Face to face training is also available upon request. We strongly recommend that all users complete one of the training programmes before using INRstar to treat patients - This ensures every user has the right level of certification for their role thus meeting clinical risk obligations and local and national guidelines.
